Market Rasen Races | Racecourse Guide, Help & Tips

Though there is jumps racing all year round at Market Rasen, the track is probably best known for some of the valuable prizes that are contested at the course over the summer months. The Summer Hurdle and the Summer Plate – run in July – are two of the most prestigious summer jumps races in Britain, and the finishes are often fought out between runners from a number of powerful yards. Dan Skelton’s Long House Hall beat David Pipe’s Ballynagour into second in the 2016 running of the Summer Plate, with Nicky Henderson’s Theinval back in third.
