Bellewstown Races | Racecourse Guide, Help & Tips

Bellewstown racecourse is beautifully situated in a rural setting with magnificent views of the Mountains of Mourne and the Irish Sea. The track hosts two big festivals each year, one in the first week of July, which is a three-day meeting, and the other in August, which is over two days. Bellewstown hosts both Flat and jumps racing and is a sharp, undulating left-handed track which is around nine furlongs per circuit. There are five hurdles to a circuit, though no races are staged over fences, and it’s a course that tends to suit a sharp, nippy type of horse.
