Cheltenham racecourse has several meetings that take place through the year these
are – New Year, Trials Day, The Festival, April Meeting, November Meeting and The
International – each of these meetings have some great racing.
New Year's Meeting
Fairlawne Handicap Chase - a Grade 3 chase that takes place on the new course
over 2 miles and 5 furlongs. It is open to horses who are 5 and older.
Dipper Novices’ Chase – a Grade 2 chase that takes place on the new course over
2 miles and 5 furlongs – open to horses who are 5 and older.
Relkeel Hurdle – a Grade 2 hurdle that takes place on the new course over a distance
of 2 miles, 4 furlongs and 110 yards. This race is open to horses who are 4 years and
older.
Trials Day
Finesse Juvenile Novices’ Hurdle – a Grade 2 hurdle that takes place on the new
course over a distance of 2 miles and 1 furlong. Open to 4 year old horses only.
Murphy Group Chase – a Grade 3 chase that takes place on the new course over a distance
of 2 miles and 5 furlongs. Open to horses who are 5 and older.
Cotswold Chase – a Grade 2 chase that takes place on the new course over a distance
of 3 miles, 1 furlong and 110y. Open to horses who are 5 and older.
Cleeve Hurdle – a Grade 2 hurdle that takes place on the new course over a distance
of 3 miles and is open to horses who are 5 and older.
Classic Novices’ Hurdle – a Grade 2 hurdle that takes place on the new course over a
distance of 2 miles, 4 furlongs and 110 yards. It is open to horse who are 4 and older.
The Festival
Arkle Challenge Trophy – a Grade 1 chase that takes place on the old course over a
distance of 2 miles. It is open to horses who are 5 years and older.
Festival Trophy Handicap Chase – a Grade 3 chase that takes placed on the old course
over a distance of 3 miles and 110 yards. It is open to horses who are 5 years and
older.
National Hunt Chase Challenge Cup – a Listed chase that takes place on the old course
over a distance of 4 miles. It is open to horses who are 5 years and older.
Supreme Novices’ Hurdle – a Grade 1 hurdle that takes place on the old course over a
distance of 2 miles and 110 yards. Open to horses who are 4 years and older.
David Nicholson Mares’ Hurdle – a Grade 1 hurdle that takes place on the old course
over a distance of 2 miles and 4 furlongs. Open to mares who are 4 years and older.
Champion Hurdle – a Grade 1 hurdle that takes place on the old course over a distance
of 2 miles and 110 yards. Open to horses who are 4 years and older.
Centenary Novices’ Handicap Chase – a handicap chase that takes place on the old
course over a distance of 2 miles, 4 furlongs and 110 yards. Open to horses who are
4 years and older.
Glenfarclas Cross Country Handicap Chase – a handicap chase that takes place on the
cross country course over a distance of 3 miles and 7 furlongs. Open to horses who
are 5 and older.
Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle – a Grade 1 hurdle that takes place
on the old course over a distance of 2 miles and 5 furlongs. Open to horses who are
4 years and older.
Coral Cup – a Grade 3 hurdle that takes place on the old course over a distance of
2 miles and 5 furlongs. Open to horses who are 5 years and older.
RSA Chase – a Grade 1 chase that takes place on the old course over a distance of
3 miles and 110 yards. Open to horses aged 5 years and older.
Champion Bumper – a Grade 1 NH flat race that takes place on the old course over a
distance of 2 miles and 110 yards. Open to horses aged between 4 and 6 years.
Queen Mother Champion Chase – a Grade 1 chase that takes place on the old course
over a distance of 2 miles. Open to horses who are 5 years and older.
Fred Winter Juvenile Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – a Grade 3 hurdle that takes place
on the old course over a distance of 2 miles and 110 yards. Open to 4 year old horses
only.
Pertemps Final – a handicap hurdle that takes place on the new course over a
distance of 3 miles and is open to horses who are 5 years and older.
Stayers’ Hurdle – a Grade 1 hurdle that takes place on the new course over a
distance of 3 miles and is open to horses who are 4 years and older.
Fulke Walwyn Kim Muir Challenge Cup – a handicap chase that takes place on the
new course over a distance of 3 miles, 1 furlong and 110 yards. Open to horses who
are 5 years and older.
JLT Novices’ Chase – a Grade 1 chase run on the new course over a distance of 2
miles and 4 furlongs. Open to horses who are 5 years and older.
Ryanair Chase – a Grade 1 chase run on the new course over a distance of 2 miles
and 5 furlongs. Open to horses who are 5 years and older.
Brown Advisory and Merriebelle Stable Plate – a Grade 3 chase run on the new course
over a distance of 2 miles and 4 furlongs. Open to horses who are 5 years and older.
Foxhunter Chase – a conditions chase run on the new course over 3 miles, 2 furlongs
and 110 yards. Open to horses who are 5 years and older.
Triumph Hurdle – a Grade 1 hurdle run on the new course over 2 miles and 1 furlongs
for 4 year old horses only.
County Handicap Hurdle – a Grade 3 hurdle run on the new course over a distance of 2
miles and 1 furlong for horses aged 5+.
Martin Pipe Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle – a handicap hurdle run on the new
course over a distance of 2 miles, 4 furlongs and 110 yards. Open to horses aged 4+.
Spa Novices’ Hurdle – a Grade 1 hurdle run on the new course over a distance of 3 miles.
Open to horses who are 4 years and older.

Mares’ Standard Open NH Flat Race – a listed NH flat race run on the old course over a
distance of 2 miles and 87 yards. Open to mares aged 4 to 6 years only.
November Novices’ Chase – a Grade 2 chase that takes place on the old course over a
distance of 2 miles. Open to horses who are aged 4 years and older.
Sharp Novices’ Hurdle – a Grade 2 hurdle that takes place on the old course over a distance
of 2 miles and 110 yards. Open to horses who are aged 4 or older.
Greatwood Hurdle – a Grade 3 hurdle that takes place on the old course over a distance of

International Meeting
Unicoin Group Handicap Chase – a Grade 3 chase run on the new course over a distance of 3

Bristol Novices’ Hurdle – a Grade 2 hurdle run on the new course over a distance of 3
