Leopardstown racecourse is a globally-known Irish horse racing venue and, like other Irish tracks, it stages both Flat and jumps racing. The popular Irish Champion Stakes remains one of the most important events that takes place at Leopardstown and is also part of the World Series of racing. The race takes place in September each year and normally attracts the top-rated horses from around Europe. Notable National Hunt races include the Irish Champion Hurdle, Arkle Novices Chase, Christmas Hurdle and Lexus Chase, to name a few.
