Lightly-raced son of Westerner who has won 2 of his 5 starts over hurdles and may well have enhanced that record but for a catastrophic blunder 2 out at Chepstow (23.6f, soft) last time. Still early days for this 6-y-o and he's of strong interest here off the same mark.

Didn't go on from debut win in bumpers but he's looked promising switched to hurdles following a breathing operation, finishing second in a Newbury novice before winning one from the front at Carlisle (17f, good to soft) last month. Further progress likely now upped in trip for this handicap debut.

Stepped forward from reappearance fifth when making a successful handicap debut at Doncaster (16.5f, soft) in November. Didn't do a great deal wrong when runner-up at Warwick last time and worth another try at this sort of trip, but he will need to improve to take a hand in the finish.

£42,000 buy from Irish pointing field and switch to handicap company brought about immediate improvement when opening his account over C&D last time. Gone up 7 lb for that but he's unexposed and there should be better to come.

Winless since March 2024 but has finished in the money all 3 completed starts this season. Combination of heavy ground and 24.3f trip perhaps amounted to too much a test at Newbury last month and he's a strong each-way candidate back down in distance off the same mark here.

Won a novice hurdle last spring and stepped forward from reappearance when second of 12 in handicap at Newbury in late December. This smooth-traveller probably wasn't ideally suited by testing conditions at Doncaster last month and he may well get back on track here.

Decent record at this course (runner-up 3 times from half-a-dozen previous visits) and returns here on a high having bagged a 10-runner Chepstow handicap (19.4f, soft) in January. Remains on a handy mark up 3 lb (has won off higher in the past) and yard has taken the last 2 runnings of this race.

Impressive winner of 21f Grade 2 Hyde at Cheltenham as novice in 2023. Had issues since but ground was probably against him at Sandown last time and he's a live each-way candidate judged on creditable back-to-back efforts in valuable Windsor handicaps in January.

Produced a career best to land a 25-runner handicap hurdle at Punchestown (19f, good to soft) last spring. Best effort so far this season when fifth of 13 at Haydock on latest start but others make more appeal all the same.

£130,000 Irish point recruit who opened his account at the second time of asking over hurdles in a 21f Kempton novice in November. Creditable third at Ascot on penultimate start (held in Grade 2 novices either side of that) and he's worth a second look on this handicap debut.

Defied a 2-year absence to land a 2½m handicap at Wincanton in January 2025 and backed it up with a good third at Chepstow next time. However, didn't show much back from a 12-month absence for new yard at the latter track and now tried in cheekpieces.

Veteran with a decent strike rate but, save for a fairly encouraging reappearance spin at Carlisle in November, he hasn't been at his best so far this season.

Fine summer jumping campaign last year, winning 4 handicaps on the bounce at up to 2½m. However, he needs to get back on track here following a string of low-key performances.
