Won 14-runner Gowran maiden for Noel Meade last year. Solid return to the Flat when third in the Southwell novice won by Constitution Hill in February and also a promising third on his Newbury hurdle debut since. Tongue tied first time. Very much unexposed for his good stable.

Won this in 2023. That was his last Flat success but recent placed efforts over hurdles (very competitive Morebattle at Kelso latterly) suggest he retains all his ability.

0-3 on all-weather but a perfect 3-3 on turf, including a 2m Newbury handicap (good) last April. Not seen since but he remains unexposed as a stayer and every chance his leading yard will have him primed for this. A must for the shortlist.

Career best when winning 11-runner handicap over this trip at Goodwood last September. Ended her season with a creditable third at Nottingham (soft) in October. Not obviously well treated off this mark but Oisin Murphy has been booked.

Won back-to-back handicaps over this trip on turf last September. Excuse (hampered) when only fifth at Nottingham at odds of 10/11 on his final start. Could have a say on reappearance.

Course winner for this yard last spring and plenty of good efforts in defeat subsequently, including twice second off this mark on AW last autumn. Much respected on reappearance.

Started 2024 with wins at Southwell and Ascot but not seen since finishing fifth at Yarmouth in July of that year. Returns in a competitive race and a watching brief is the percentage call after such a long time off.

Pair of 2m Newbury Flat wins from the front last year and back-to-form second of 15 over hurdles at Wincanton in February. Third off this mark in a handicap at the York Ebor meeting last summer.

Suited by a step up to 2m when making a winning start for new connections at Newcastle in a first-time tongue tie (retained) in February. A 5 lb rise shouldn't prevent another prominent showing if in similar form back on turf.

Has only been ticking over on all-weather this year but his mark has edged down as a result. Has done most of his winning on tapeta but is effective on turf.

Smart handicapper at his peak for Roger Varian. Below that level in 2 all-weather outings since joining Rebecca Menzies and needs a return to turf to help spark a revival.

Had some quite useful Flat form in Ireland for previous stable. Little better than modest form over hurdles for Iain Jardine but recent near miss in a Carlisle handicap was more encouraging. Returns to the Flat in a warm race.

Four-time course winner, including last autumn. Ended 2025 with 2 poor runs on all-weather but his good record here means a revival can't be ruled out after a 3-month break.
