Has a good record here, with wins in this race last season as well as over 3¼m in November. Plugged on into the placings on his last 2 starts over C&D and though he's back at a similar mark from which he took this last year, he may be more effective over further at his advanced age.

Only poor nowadays but he produced his best effort for some time from 5 lb out of the weights when runner-up in an 11-runner handicap at Hexham (4m) 10 days ago. That was a hard race and he'll do well to back that up for all he does have winning C&D form.

Maiden but shaped like the best horse at the weights when second in this headgear at Ffos Las in February, tiring final 100 yds after kicking on early. Should be in the mix if able to back that up from 2 lb higher.

Limited sort but at least shaped as if retaining the bulk of his ability after a year off when fifth in handicap hurdle (6/1) at Newcastle 67 days ago. Back over fences now with stamina to prove.

Runner-up all 4 completed starts in Irish points but has yet to make an impact under Rules. Cheekpieces are tried.

One-time fairly useful hurdler/winning chaser for Henry de Bromhead, but no recent form and increasingly looks one to avoid.
