tends to struggle in pattern company but made his class edge tell taking on merely useful rivals back down in grade, not having to reveal anything we didn't already know about him; made all, shaken up under 2f out, in command final 1f, kept on well, hands-and-heels ride; his future prospects depend on how high he's aimed.

ran respectably, the run of the race not seeing him to best effect (would've benefited from stronger pace), though more to the point not entitled to beat the winner on these terms; slowly into stride, held up, headway under pressure entering final 1f, hung right, one paced.

These small-field minor events rarely make for robust form and the chances are this won't prove any different, though at least this quintet finished in the order their prior achievements suggested they would; the winner dictated on the stand rail, setting a steady gallop by 5f standards.

JUSTICE DAY (IRE) tends to struggle in pattern company but made his class edge tell taking on merely useful rivals back down in grade, not having to reveal anything we didn't already know about him; made all, shaken up under 2f out, in command final 1f, kept on well, hands-and-heels ride; his future prospects depend on how high he's aimed.
