is having an excellent year and resumed winning ways down in grade, not needing to match the form of his excellent third in Group 1 company last time and also well positioned on the day; prominent, stayed on to lead final 1f, ridden out; will continue to give good account.

ran well trying 6f for the first time, again not beaten far at this level, though he did have the run of things from the front; led, headed final 1f, no extra.

took step back in right direction after further 12 weeks off, presumably having suffered a problem or 2 this year, but he definitely remains with potential for 7f, crying out for it on this showing; mid-field, outpaced 2f out, stayed on, never nearer; not one to write off.

wasn't disgraced but again couldn't match form of his handicap win here in July, a wider than ideal position not solely to blame; in touch, ridden 2f out, not quicken.

won this race last year but had a penalty to shoulder this time around and didn't get race run to suit either, shaping as if still in form; held up, travelled well, headway over 1f out, one paced, would have benefited from a stronger gallop.

A worthy winner of this listed race, Eastern Impact having excelled himself at a higher level prior to this, but he was well placed on the day, nothing held up ever really threatening.

EASTERN IMPACT (IRE) is having an excellent year and resumed winning ways down in grade, not needing to match the form of his excellent third in Group 1 company last time and also well positioned on the day; prominent, stayed on to lead final 1f, ridden out; will continue to give good account.

CANNY KOOL ran well trying 6f for the first time, again not beaten far at this level, though he did have the run of things from the front; led, headed final 1f, no extra.

WET SAIL (USA) took step back in right direction after further 12 weeks off, presumably having suffered a problem or 2 this year, but he definitely remains with potential for 7f, crying out for it on this showing; mid-field, outpaced 2f out, stayed on, never nearer; not one to write off.

PORTAMENTO (IRE) wasn't disgraced but again couldn't match form of his handicap win here in July, a wider than ideal position not solely to blame; in touch, ridden 2f out, not quicken.

INTRANSIGENT won this race last year but had a penalty to shoulder this time around and didn't get race run to suit either, shaping as if still in form; held up, travelled well, headway over 1f out, one paced, would have benefited from a stronger gallop.

MUSICAL COMEDY fared no better than last time with no obvious excuse for another flat effort; in touch, weakened final 1f.

CORDIAL again had work cut out in this company; prominent, weakened over 1f out.

PASTORAL GIRL blew the start in first-time blinkers; missed the break, never on terms.
