was on a going day, suited by the way the race developed back up at 6f, allowed to lead, his task eased considerably by the below-par display of the odds-on favourite, uncertain to be in the same form next time; made all, shaken up approaching 2f out, driven out.

refitted with blinkers, ran creditably after 7 weeks off, this a lot less competitive than the big-field handicaps he has been forced to contest of late; in touch, headway 1f out, kept on.

run in the Nunthorpe could be excused, but this was plain disappointing, wasting a gilt-edged opportunity to resume winning ways, his campaign as a whole rather underwhelming to date; close up, racing solo down the centre in the early stages, edged across to join rivals over 2f out, asked for effort over 1f out, not quicken, faded final 50 yds.

again ran below form, this time with a run under his belt, a hard horse to place as a result of being highly tried; in touch, ridden when switched under 2f out, made no impression and faded final 1f.

A surprise outcome to this minor event, Music Master - who was initially kept apart from the main body of the field – fluffing his lines dropped in grade, Barracuda Boy the horse to capitalise, making all.

BARRACUDA BOY (IRE) was on a going day, suited by the way the race developed back up at 6f, allowed to lead, his task eased considerably by the below-par display of the odds-on favourite, uncertain to be in the same form next time; made all, shaken up approaching 2f out, driven out.

ZANETTO ran as well as could be expected for the second start in a row, this the level he is operating at nowadays; prominent, ridden over 2f out, one paced.

GROWL again ran below form, this time with a run under his belt, a hard horse to place as a result of being highly tried; in touch, ridden when switched under 2f out, made no impression and faded final 1f.
