Benefited from the marked drop in grade when justifying support in 10-runner handicap hurdle (6/4) at Carlisle (25f, good) 20 days ago, kept up to work. Has the potential for better again given his low-mileage profile.

Stepped up on last season's novice form when making a successful handicap bow/return at Windsor (3m) in November. Creditable third at Carlisle (25f, soft) 3 weeks later and bounced back from a lesser run at Sandown when sixth in a valuable handicap at Uttoxeter latest. Much respected down in grade.

Improved upped to 3m on final 2 starts of last season, winning good-ground handicaps at Doncaster and Wetherby. Made an encouraging return to action when fourth at Ffos Las (2½m) last month and needs taking seriously with that run under his belt now stepping back up in trip.

Progressive novice for Fergal O'Brien who got back on track with his chasing career quickly shelved with victory in 15-runner handicap at Windsor (3m) in January, seen to good effect under a sound tactical ride. Not in the same form at Haydock subsequently, having been pestered for the lead.

£80,000 point recruit who found only one too good in his sole outings in bumpers at this track and has shown form in maiden/novice hurdles without winning. Proved a disappointment at Doncaster on most recent outing and needs to get back on track now switching to handicap company.

As good as ever this season, landing back-to-back small-field handicaps at up to 25f at Taunton and Plumpton. Ran every bit as well in defeat back at former track on latest outing but will likely find life tougher back in a bigger field.

Bumper winner looked promising when successful on her first 2 outings over hurdles but has been rather disappointing since, not firing when beaten at short odds for a second start in a row at Ayr in March. Others more persuasive now stepping up in trip on handicap debut.

Has benefited from going up in trip this season, making a winning handicap debut at Newcastle (3m) in November and improving again when second at Ayr next time. Left poorly placed at Musselburgh on latest start and is better judged on his previous form.

Made it 2 wins from first 3 starts for Olly Murphy in handicap hurdle at Warwick (25f, soft) in January. Ran a shocker at Haydock next time which called his temperament into question again but did put that behind with a respectable third at Bangor since.

Veteran four-time winner in Ireland and off the mark for this yard in this corresponding event last spring. Turned in a rare poor effort back over hurdles at Warwick on most recent start but appeals as the type to bounce back quickly.

Progressed when winning back-to-back handicap chases at Kelso and at Ayr (both at around 3m on soft/heavy) last term. Pulled up following breathing operation in the Eider at Newcastle last time but placed on both previous starts over hurdles this season and he's not without each-way hope.

Thrived over hurdles last year, winning 4 times. However, has failed to fire on his last 3 starts, including on first outing for this yard over fences at Market Rasen last time. Plenty to prove.
