Opened his account over fences in 2m4f Newbury handicap in December. Backed it up with a couple of good efforts before pulled up in the Ultima at Cheltenham Festival (jumping errors before badly hampered). Worth another chance back down in class.

Won Grade 2 novice chase at Kempton in 2023/24. Lightly raced since but has made a positive start for this yard, running a third really good race in little over 3 weeks when fourth of 22 in the Ultima at Cheltenham. Big shout if busy spell hasn't caught up with him.

Much improved for the switch to fences this term, making all over C&D in November. Looked set to bag a second success here when unseated rider 3 out (in front) just after Christmas. Found Cheltenham Festival too competitive last time and remains of interest back in calmer waters. Tongue strap on.

Landed a gamble in handicap hurdle at Catterick on return and has advanced his form over fences, off the mark at the second attempt when dictating at Sandown last month. Will find this more demanding but remains unexposed as a chaser.

Took well to chasing last season when a dual 2m scorer and he's continued on the up this term, runner-up for the third time when beaten just a head at Windsor in January. Allowed winner too much rope at Kelso since and worth a go at this longer trip.

Having a prolific season, winning for the fifth time when asserting close home over C&D 18 days ago. However, up another 5 lb and doesn't have his regular conditional claiming this time.

Ex-French winning hurdler/chaser who ran creditably when making the frame first 3 starts for present yard but showed nothing in cross country at Cheltenham Festival since and looks up against it from 4 lb out of the handicap. Visor on 1st time.

Bumper/hurdles winner who was in fine form over fences earlier on in the campaign, scoring at Cartmel in August and following up in good style at Uttoxeter. Good effort when coming up just short in his hat-trick bid at Kelso but off since falling at the first at Ascot in November.
