Zestful front runner who justified good support in the Gerry Feilden at Newbury before following up with much improved, dominant victory in the William Hill Hurdle there in February. Lost any slim chance he had at the start in the Champion Hurdle but very much respected back in a handicap.

One-time exciting novice has fallen to a handy mark having never really fired for the O'Neill stable, but there were promising signs on first start for Dan Skelton in the County at Cheltenham, and he could be the one to beat for a stable with an impressive knack of landing valuable handicaps.

Lightly-raced 6-y-o whose form in maiden/novice hurdles has plenty of substance, and he improved a chunk when making a successful handicap debut in the Morebattle at Kelso in late-February. Connections have bypassed the major festivals in favour of a crack at this and another good run is expected.

Last season's Victor Ludorum winner had been in the doldrums following a successful reappearance at Chepstow, but he bounced back (with hood refitted) when a very encouraging seventh in the County last time. Looks capable of going close if building on that run.

Dual Flat/hurdle winner in France improved from his stable debut near miss when readily quickening clear to land a solid Sandown handicap in January. Looked potentially smart that day and is worth another chance, having been all at sea in very testing conditions at Newbury last time.

Rock-solid form in top-quality handicaps last season, and though he went the wrong way from an encouraging reappearance when down the field in the County last time, it's far too early to write him off.

Likeable type has been a credit to connections, finishing third in this race 12 months ago and typically giving her running when ninth in the County at Cheltenham. Unlikely to get it all her own way in front this time, though.

Strong-travelling mare has been one of several success stories for her rookie trainer this season, notching a third win since joining the yard in a Go North Series Final handicap at Kelso last time. Hard to crab at that form but this requires more.

Capitalised on a significant drop in grade when successful at Kelso earlier this month, clearly all the better of a breathing operation, too. Likely to be vulnerable back in a top-end 2m handicap, though.

Doesn't arrive in the same form as when fifth in last year's renewal of this race, for all he was probably unsuited by conditions at Taunton on his latest start, and this looks a tall order at the weights.
