A competitive renewal of this listed race, the form shown by the winner on a par with what it usually takes, though it lacked anything progressive and proved to be tactical, those held up struggling to make an impact off a modest pace.

ENTSAR (IRE) bounced back to form with a vengance, better than ever in fact as she belatedly opened her account at this level, seemingly relishing the return to softer ground, whilst first-time cheekpieces perhaps did something for her also; close up, travelled fluently, led over 2f out, tackled over 1f out, kept going well; she's remains fairly low mileage, and may be able to climb a bit higher still.

AJMAN PRINCESS (IRE) again ran creditably and deserves credit for consistency, holding her form very well since successful at this level at Goodwood in May; in touch, loomed up over 2f out, every chance soon after, kept on; will continue to give a good account.

PLAYFUL SOUND ran better than last time without returning to the sort of form shown on reappearance; mid-field, close up over 3f out, every chance over 2f out, one paced; she's yet to try 1½m, but leaves the impression that it will suit.

VERY DASHING back on turf, ran respectably without building on the promise of her last run, perhaps not one for too many excuses given that she's got a quirk or 2; mid-field, raced freely, chased leaders over 2f out, one paced.

ROSENTAL after 9 weeks off, shaped as if still in good form, the effort of trying to get involved from a less-than-ideal position taking its toll late on; raced off the pace, headway over 2f out, effort flattened out.

AIM TO PLEASE (FR) on first outing since leaving Francois Doumen, is a smart performer, as she showed when fifth in the Duke of Cambridge last time, but didn't get the chance to show what she can do here, left poorly placed and standing little chance of getting seriously involved; dwelt, in rear, took keen hold, headway over 2f out, kept on, not persevered with once held; her form entitles her to respect at this level.

REACHFORTHESTARS (IRE) was out of depth, leading and having the run of things until over 2f out but soon put in her place.

SOPHIE P was well held, this a far deeper contest than the listed race she finished second in at Ayr in May; raced off the pace, left behind under 3f out.

PURE ART back down in trip, ran no sort of race, possibly unsuited by conditions; tracked pace, not settle fully, weakened 2f out.
