was runner-up in this race last year and proved better than ever to go one better this time around, credit to her trainer for producing her in peak condition after 10 months off, and it completed a 4-timer for the yard on the day; never far away, shaken up 3f out, led over 1f out, held on gamely as the runner-up rallied; she is a likeable type and is generally very consistent, acknowledging that she ended 2016 with a couple of low-key efforts.

stepped up a bit on her comeback run, a creditable effort for all that she again failed to match the form that saw her beat Ulyssees last August; made running, travelled well, quickened over 4f out, shaken up 2f out, headed over 1f out, rallied final 100 yds but was always just held towards the finish.

improved a bit and did well under the circumstances, arguably unlucky not to follow in the footsteps of her dam, who won this race in 2005; in rear, raced freely, headway when short of room and had momentum checked briefly under 3f out, chased leaders over 1f out, switched to far rail well inside final 1f, kept on without having a lot of room late on; she isn't 100% straightforward but has plenty of ability.

disappointed making her tapeta debut, a backwards step from her solid reappearance at this level; mid-division, pushed along 4f out, struggling 2f out, no extra.

Covert Love won this listed event in 2015 before going on to Group 1 success but there's no star in the making in this year's field, Chain of Daisies not performing to her very best even in a close second, whilst 4 of them were way below form; the early pace was nothing special and, although they got racing a long way from home, the third did have a lot of ground to make up when they quickened and probably did well to get so close.

MORE MISCHIEF was runner-up in this race last year and proved better than ever to go one better this time around, credit to her trainer for producing her in peak condition after 10 months off, and it completed a 4-timer for the yard on the day; never far away, shaken up 3f out, led over 1f out, held on gamely as the runner-up rallied; she is a likeable type and is generally very consistent, acknowledging that she ended 2016 with a couple of low-key efforts.
