was unpenalised for course win over shorter 10 days ago and followed up without needing to be quite at his very best, the muddling gallop probably not ideal for him in truth, but still got the job done; mid-division, outpaced seventh, headway under pressure before 2 out, found plenty to lead approaching last, driven out; he's likely to stay 3m and, a dual point winner, will be going over fences at some stage no doubt.

was suited by this 2f longer trip and ran easily his best race to date on just his second handicap outing; prominent, challenged between 3 out and 2 out, led briefly between last 2, headed by winner approaching last, stuck to task to pull clear of remainder; still young/lightly raced, so may do even better.

bounced back to form, not at the level he was at a couple of years ago, but it was a definite step in the right direction, albeit with the run of the race, and his finishing effort left a bit to be desired; dictated, travelled well, ridden when headed between last 2, faltered; this is the run to rate him on now.

hinted at a revival, still way off his best (probably doesn't retain all ability) but running best race of the season, and he has slipped in the weights; held up, took strong hold, in touch eighth, chased leaders before 2 out, effort flattened out.

one of the least exposed in the field, shaped as if needing run after 5 months off; prominent, ridden before 2 out, weakened, not unduly punished.

back in headgear, again finished well held and increasingly looks one to avoid; raced indolently, behind seventh, made no impression.
