had gone more than 2 years since her last victory and resumed winning ways from out of the blue, albeit from a reduced mark; in touch, went upsides last, edged right but kept on well to lead run-in, always holding on; while there didn't seem to be any fluke about this success, she's uncertain to reproduce this form next time.

had been raised 8 lb for his Huntingdon effort and, in first-time cheekpieces/upped in trip, ran to a similar level here, again finding only one too good; held up, pushed along to improve approaching 2 out, every chance last, stayed on but always held by winner.

hardly ever runs a bad race and, after 6 months off/without usual headgear, again showed fairly useful form; disputed lead, ridden when hit 2 out, headed last, no extra run-in; should remain competitive from this sort of mark.

found this tougher than the event he won here in somewhat fortunate circumstances 5 months ago, and was well held; in rear, ridden from 3 out, merely plugged on past beaten horses run-in.

who attracted support, probably needed the run after 6 months off; mid-field, raced freely, outpaced approaching 2 out, no extra; unsuited by the relative speed test this race became and isn't one to write off.

amateur ridden, was well held making his handicap debut from a stiff-looking mark, though might have needed the outing after 7 months off; chased leaders, not fluent third, hung right/lost ground home turn, no further impression; his next run should reveal more.

proved to be a disappointment after 6 months off, though she wasn't given at all a hard time once her chance had gone, and isn't the first from this yard in recent weeks to run below form after a break, so isn't one to write off just yet; disputed lead, headed approaching 2 out, stopped quickly as if amiss.
