had clear excuses when last seen and duly resumed progress after 4 months off as he took his record to 3-3 on fibresand; mid-field, smooth headway from home turn, shaken up over 2f out, led soon after, tackled final 1f, kept on well; will continue to be hard to beat, particularly here while he should also be suited by a return to 1m.

back in headgear, ran creditably behind an in-form/progressive pair, in fact as well as he's done all year, but this is probably as good as he is nowadays; held up, shaken up early in straight, kept on, no match for principals.
