Three of the 4 were closely matched on form, though in the event, one, Fattsota, failed to give his running, reportedly after banging his head on the stalls, while Tha'ir was seen to much better advantage than Provenance the way the race unfolded, a cautious view of the form best taken in the circumstances.

THA'IR (IRE) in the form of his life at Meydan in the winter, ran at least as well after 4 months off, though was seen to maximum effect, able to dominate after likely pacemaker Fattsota didn't lead; made all, travelled well, ridden over 1f out, kept on well, unchallenged; clearly in good heart, though faces tougher tasks ahead.

PROVENANCE who again sweated up beforehand, couldn't match market expectations, running respectably in a race which went ideally for the winner; waited with, effort after 3f out, not quicken, took second 1f out, kept on, no impression; worth another chance to build on her Ascot form.

SHARP SAILOR (USA) seemed to excel himself, though with effectively nothing behind him the worth of the form is questionable; chased leader, ridden after 3f out, not quicken, lost second 1f out.

FATTSOTA ran no sort of race, not asked to lead after reportedly banging his head on the stalls, trying to anticipate the start; held up, shaken up briefly 3f out, not quicken, heavily eased off.
