benefited no end from the 5f longer trip, maturing with racing as well, and he progressed as expected from hurdling debut to open his account in likeable fashion, value for more than the winning distance; mid-division, headway end of back straight, challenged 2 out, led last, stayed on well and had a bit in hand; he'll stay 3m and is open to further improvement, a smart prospect.

progressed again after 4 months off, benefiting from the 5f step up in trip; mid-division, headway between 3 out and 2 out, took second run-in, kept on well; he's seemingly not the easiest to keep sound but has an upwardly mobile profile.

after 6 weeks off, was in calmer waters and back on less testing ground and got back on the up; prominent, ridden between 3 out and 2 out, not quicken, kept on after last; there are weaker novices in which he could defy a penalty but his opening BHA mark for handicaps looks stiff.

was fitted with a tongue strap after his weakish finish at Warwick and failed to repeat that effort back down in grade; made most, jumped fluently, hung left home turn, tackled 2 out, headed last, no extra.
