back in cheekpieces, the experiment with blinkers quickly abandoned, could only run to a similar level as last time, though shouldn't be judged too harshly given the way this unfolded; prominent, not settle fully, ridden approaching 3f out, one paced.

better than the bare result when mid-field on hurdling debut in September, shaped as if retaining a fair degree of ability, poorly placed in a tactical affair, set to strip fitter for the run after 3 months off; dropped out, not settle fully, brief headway 2f out, effort flattened out.

A contest that turned into a sprint inside the final 3f, though there is no doubt about the result or the superiority of the winner, Barye proving himself a smart handicapper with a ready success.

BARYE has swiftly taken his form up a notch since joining this yard, following up his recent C&D win with something to spare, the manner of victory suggesting there could be even more to come; in touch, travelled strongly, quickened to lead when getting gap on inner over 1f out, comfortably, hands-and-heels ride; one to keep on side as he bids for the hat-trick.

FIRST MOHICAN back up in trip after just 5 days off, wasted no time returning to form, beaten by an improver, a stronger gallop sure to have suited ideally; dwelt, waited with, travelled smoothly, headway over 1f out, kept on.

BLUE SURF making a belated all-weather bow, ran creditably after 4 months off, no doubt having the run of the race from the front, though as he stays further, would probably have been better served making it more of a test; dwelt but with no pace on soon led, quickened 3f out, headed over 1f out, kept on.

THE STEWARD (USA) back in cheekpieces, the experiment with blinkers quickly abandoned, could only run to a similar level as last time, though shouldn't be judged too harshly given the way this unfolded; prominent, not settle fully, ridden approaching 3f out, one paced.

WINTERLUDE (IRE) better than the bare result when mid-field on hurdling debut in September, shaped as if retaining a fair degree of ability, poorly placed in a tactical affair, set to strip fitter for the run after 3 months off; dropped out, not settle fully, brief headway 2f out, effort flattened out.

MASTERPAVER back on his favoured all-weather, left the impression the run was needed after 6 months off; in touch, weakened 2f out.
