wasn't disgraced despite not being seen to best effect on his comeback run, and with the emphasis more on stamina here stepped up on that effort to resume winning ways, turning the tables on John Reel from their meeting last time out; in touch, travelled well, challenged early in straight, led inside final 1f, kept on well, driven clear; would hold at least each-way claims if heading for the All-Weather Marathon Championships final at Lingfield on Good Friday.

again ran creditably to fill the runner-up berth in this event for the second year running, but, much like his latest effort when he finished ahead of Notarised, had no excuses having had the run of the race; made running, effort 3f out, tackled early in straight, headed inside final 1f, stayed on and pulled clear of remainder.

was sent off the outsider of the sextet and ran about as well as could have been expected; mid-division, shaken up 4f out, plugged on, never a threat.

went backwards from a reasonably promising reappearance, and it may be that he'd benefit from a return to around 1¾m; tracked pace, effort approaching 2f out, weakened early in straight.

came here on a sharp upward curve and is best not judged on this effort over a longer trip, reportedly finishing lame; mid-field, pushed along over 3f out, no extra early in straight and heavily eased off.

All 6 ran.

Overrounds: Industry SP 114%, Betfair SP 101.3%

A useful minor event, albeit one that didn't prove anything like as competitive as it might have with the pair at the head of the betting failing to meet expectations for one reason or another, all of which left Notarised to come home a fairly comfortable winner; the pace was only ordinary, things picking up as the field approached 3f out.

NOTARISED wasn't disgraced despite not being seen to best effect on his comeback run, and with the emphasis more on stamina here stepped up on that effort to resume winning ways, turning the tables on John Reel from their meeting last time out; in touch, travelled well, challenged early in straight, led inside final 1f, kept on well, driven clear; would hold at least each-way claims if heading for the All-Weather Marathon Championships final at Lingfield on Good Friday.
