Successful at Ayr on second handicap start last year and, having had excuses in the Silver Cup there, got back on the up with an impressive victory in 19-runner Coral Sprint Trophy over C&D in October. Has been raised 10 lb but holds Group 1 entry at Royal Ascot. Respected.

Enjoyed a productive 2025, winning 5 times including back-to-back victories in Racing League events during the summer. After 6 months off, proved better than ever when adding to his tally at Kempton in March. Effective on turf and he could still have more to offer this year.

Shaped well a couple of times here last summer and finally gained a first handicap success at Southwell on New Year's Day. Raced closer to pace than ideal when mid-field at Newcastle on Good Friday, so no surprise to see a bold show on the back of a breathing operation.

Useful at his best but failed to fire in 2025. However, after 7 months off (had a breathing operation) he shaped encouragingly on first run since leaving Roger Varian when 2¼ lengths fifth of 13 to Strike Red at Leicester 18 days ago. One to note from reduced mark.

Has taken his form up a notch for current trainer, winning over 5f at Newcastle on return and following up in good-quality handicap at Southwell in March. Only mid-field in listed race at Naas 16 days ago, but he's not yet fully exposed for current yard as he goes back up in trip.

Both wins in 5f listed races here, including at this meeting last year. Struggled for form the remainder of 2025, but stepped up on reappearance when third at Goodwood 12 days ago. Has eased further in the weights ahead of return to this venue, so he's not ruled out with visor added.

Developed into a useful handicapper last season, recording back-to-back wins at Ascot and Epsom in first half of the year. Good placed efforts later in the campaign, not ideally placed when third of 10 at Ascot in October. Off 7 months since but he's not dismissed lightly.

Winner of this race in 2025 and doubled his tally for the year at Ayr in September. Continued in good form on first 2 outings this season, before possibly unsuited by making the running at Doncaster 11 days ago. Type to bounce back, though remains 5 lb above last winning mark.

Successful twice in 2025 for Richard Hannon, when also runner-up in this race. Ended the season on a low-key note and looks to have been finding his feet in 2 starts for this yard, seventh of 13 at Newmarket last month. Now 2 lb below last winning mark.

Showed improved form when scoring at Lingfield and Newcastle first 2 starts this year. Not seen to best effect the last twice, suffering interference when 2½ lengths seventh of 13 to Strike Red at Leicester on latest outing. Capable on turf (runner-up over C&D last summer).

Royal Ascot winner back in 2024. Mixed form since, but having had excuses on first 2 outings this year he bounced back to winning ways in Scottish Sprint Cup at Musselburgh (5f) last month. Task is now to build on latest effort (C&D winner at 2 yrs).

Didn't manage to get his head in front last year but was runner-up in Stewards' Cup at Goodwood. Built on promising reappearance effort when returning to winning ways at Leicester 18 days ago, several of today's rivals in behind, and this dual C&D winner remains on a workable mark.

Won twice for Archie Watson in 2025, including listed race at Baden-Baden in June. Has made a positive start for current yard this year, returning to his best back up to 6f when length third of 13 to Strike Red at Leicester 18 days ago.

Went the right way last season, making all for wins at Haydock (7f) and Doncaster (6.5f). Ended the year with a career-best effort in defeat when narrowly denied in the 25-runner Ayr Gold Cup. Has had a breathing operation ahead of return from 7 months off.

Made a winning handicap/seasonal debut at Ripon last year and went on to give a good account in competitive races, including over this C&D in June. Well held on final 2 outings, but back on track when third of 16 in the same Ripon race on return. Highest draw not ideal, though.

Took advantage of drop in grade when successful at Ayr in October. Below form next 2 starts but caught the eye on return, finishing with running left when fourth of 19 at Doncaster in March. On a workable mark and should get his favoured strong pace to aim at.

Without a win since landing the Acomb here in 2023. Third in handicap at Newbury for current yard last spring but hasn't kicked on since, racing too freely on return from 9 months off when down the field at Newmarket 11 days ago.

Useful form in the US earlier in his career. Went backwards in 3 outings for Joseph O'Brien in Ireland last year, before runner-up in 2 starts at Saint Moritz for Olly Murphy in February. After 9 weeks off, looked rusty on stable debut when mid-field at Goodwood (5f) 12 days ago.

Without a win last year, but showed improved form sent handicapping when runner-up in 7-runner contest at Navan (5f) in September. However, making first run since leaving David Marnane he was well held in Coral Sprint Trophy here next time. Cheekpieces applied on return.

Won twice on all-weather last spring, including a valuable 6f handicap at Newcastle. Ran well when third over the same C&D in March, before not seen to best effect back at 5f at Newmarket last month. Found things tough on turf last season, though. Blinkers reapplied.

Won first 2 starts for Ed Bethell in 2025 and, after a couple of lesser efforts, ended the year with a close second at Wolverhampton. Picked up where he left off on stable debut when fourth of 14 at Newcastle in March, before having excuses last time. This is tougher, though.
