Useful performer who bounced back to form when third of 10 in handicap at Chester (7f, good to firm) 26 days ago. Needs to build on that now.

Winless since a 6f Newmarket success last May but he ran up to his very best when second of 15 at Epsom (6f, soft) at the start of June. Below par on firmer ground twice since but conditions could be more to his liking here if the forecast rain hits.

Smart and likeable course winner. Enhanced fine record at York when ending a long losing run with narrow victory there (7f) in July and backed it up with a fine third in the Summer Cup here (1m, good) 4 weeks ago. Has to enter calculations.

Useful sort. Off since winning a conditions event on all-weather at Deauville a year ago but has gone well fresh before and it'll be interesting to see what the betting makes of him with the yard going well.

Shaped well from a poor draw at Chester on reappearance and good second of 14 at Newcastle (7f) 4 weeks later. Underperformed at Glorious Goodwood since but he's capable of bouncing back.

Proved at least as good as ever when landing the Thirsk Hunt Cup over 1m in May. Hasn't reproduced that form since but he has shaped better than the result in a few of his recent starts, including at York last week (went off too hard).

Quirky, but talented when on song, notably winning at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) in May. Respectable ninth of 20 in handicap (18/1) at Goodwood (7f, good to firm) 30 days ago.

Prolific as a 3-y-o. Has drawn a blank since, although he did go close over C&D (good to soft) in May. Freshened up since a lesser run at Newcastle in June.

Ended 2025 in a bit of a lull but edged down the weights as a result and right back to his best on the back of a breathing operation when winning a 20-runner handicap at York (7f) on reappearance in June. Two poor runs have followed, though. Visored first time.

Landed 7f Doncaster handicap in June. Has continued in form, running on for second of 10 in Beverley handicap over an extended 7f 16 days ago. No reason why he won't give another good account.

Three-time winner for Andrew Balding and returned to his best for current yard when scoring over C&D (good to soft) in June. Back in that form when third of 11 in handicap at Chester (6f, good) last Saturday. Enters calculations, particularly if the ground eases.

Winless since her debut in 2024 but she's a useful handicapper on her day and was a good second over 1m here off 2 lb higher in May. Shaped as if back in form when fifth of 19 over 7f at York (soft) last Thursday and merits consideration.

Looked useful over 7f at Newcastle earlier in the year, winning on debut before finishing second under a penalty. Brings obvious unexposed potential to this handicap and turf debut for a leading stable. Has been gelded.

Won 6 times in the first half of last year. Has returned in good nick with 4 placed efforts in May/June but seems to have gone off the boil a little. 3 lb out of the handicap here.
