Came closer than ever to breaking his duck when beaten a short head at Wolverhampton in February. Has gone backwards from that effort in 3 starts since, though. Blinkers/tongue strap reapplied on first run since leaving Stuart Williams.

Regular on all-weather (has a lower mark back on turf) and made the frame twice at Southwell during the winter. However, below form on his last 3 starts and there looks to be other pace angles in this race.

Won twice for this yard last year before finishing down the field in only 2 starts for Ian McInnes, though did have possible excuses on both occasions. Remains 5 lb above last winning mark having rejoined Ruth Carr ahead of return.

Well held in 2 maidens in Ireland last year and fared no better on first run since leaving Miss Natalia Lupini when last of 5 in novice at Newcastle in February. Has work to do on handicap debut, but he's worth a market check with yard going well.

Much improved when gaining a first success at Southwell in September. Unlucky not to follow up at Newcastle later the same month but ended the year with a lesser effort back at Southwell. Needs to transfer his all-weather form to turf on his return.

Solid record in classified events, successful at Newcastle on first outing in March. Runner-up next 2 starts, before meeting trouble in running at the same course last time. Effective on turf but needs things to drop right given his hold up style.
