Ludlow 16:30 Odds Comparison

Crystal Ocean filly who is bred more for stamina than speed but produced a promising first effort with that in mind when a keeping-on fourth of 14 in Huntingdon bumper (15.8f) last month. That looks the best form on offer so appears to have a leading chance.

Scalo filly. Dam unraced sister to useful hurdler (winner around 2m) Hearts Are Trumps and French hurdle winner/chaser (2¼m-2¾m winner) Go Fast du Berlais. Respected newcomer.

Out of a 2m-2¾m hurdle winner, herself a sister to useful hurdler/high-class chaser Secret Investor. Backed at long odds and showed ability whilst looking green when fifth in a C&D bumper in December. Entitled to progress.

Getaway mare who was bought for £120,000 after winning sole start in Irish points and bettered her first effort in this sphere when third in 9-runner bumper at Hereford (16.2f) last month. Needs more, however.

Showed promise on her Ludlow debut and shaped better than the distance beaten suggests at Huntingdon 9 weeks on, though her effort did peter out quite tamely. 7-lb claimer now takes over in the saddle.

€35,000 3-y-o, Walk In The Park filly. Sister to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler Lime Avenue, and half-sister to 3 winners, including hurdler/smart chaser Rogue Angel, stayed 4m. Bred to stay well.

€5,500 3-y-o, Getaway mare. Half-sister to fairly useful hurdler Clap of Thunder. Dam (h105), 2½m hurdle winner, sister to bumper winner/very smart hurdler (stayed 3m) Voler La Vedette. Failed to complete all 3 starts in Irish points, though every chance when carried out on latest (Nov 2025).

Westerner mare who finished runner-up on her sole outing in points and didn't get the chance to show what she could do on her Rules debut at Southwell, having been hampered by a weakening rival end of back straight.

Order of St George filly. Half-sister to bumper winner/fairly useful 2½m hurdle winner Midnight Jet and fair hurdler/fairly useful chase winner Mighty Moth, probably stays 3m. Fourth sole start in point bumpers (Apr 4).

£15,000 3-y-o, Order of St George filly. Closely related to a winner, and half-sister to numerous winners, including useful hurdler Cool Macavity. Dam 1¼m/11f winner. Market for clues.

Jack Hobbs mare. Dam multiple point winner. Others more persuasive on breeding.

From a family the yard has had success with but was very green when down the field in bumper at Huntingdon (15.8f, good to soft) on last month's debut. Should do better somewhere down the line.

£2,000 3-y-o, Dartmouth mare. Half-sister to 3 winners, including bumper winner/fair 2½m hurdle winner San Rumoldo and bumper winner/modest hurdler Perculator. Dam, unraced, closely related to useful hurdler/top-class chaser (stayed 3¼m) Carlingford Lough. A cheap purchase given her pedigree.

Unpromising in points so looks best watched on Rules debut unless the betting suggests otherwise.
