One-time exciting novice has fallen to a handy mark, having never really fired for the O'Neill stable, and there were promising signs on first start for Dan Skelton in the County. Hood goes on, and he could be the one to beat for a stable with an impressive knack of landing valuable handicaps.

Winner of the 2025 Victor Ludorum here, he'd been in the doldrums following a successful reappearance at Chepstow, but bounced back (with a hood refitted) when a very encouraging seventh in the County at Cheltenham. Looks capable of going close if building on that run.

Strong-travelling sort who had solid form behind Alexei and Tutti Quanti prior to a career-best success in the Sussex Champion Hurdle at Plumpton last time. Up 10 lb but should get another sound gallop to aim at and cannot be totally discounted.

Has shown gradual improvement since handicapping (including a fifth in last year's renewal), and he proved better than ever when finding plenty to notch a fifth career success in a C&D contest last time. However, faces a tougher task off 6 lb higher in a stronger race.

Fairly useful Flat performer landed a double in the Scottish Triumph Hurdle at Ayr before again showed bags of pace behind a strong-staying stablemate in a premier fillies handicap at Sandown. Tougher task switched to open company, but she's improving and should have conditions to suit again.

Strong-travelling type who finished second in this race 12 months ago before filling the same position in the Greatwood at Cheltenham on return. Seemingly didn't take to cheekpieces when falling in the Sussex Champion Hurdle latest, though is entitled to be bang in the mix if none the worse.

Ran a blinder behind Rubaud in Grade 2 Elite at Wincanton and having wasted no time getting back to form when fifth behind Indemnity in the Sussex Champion Hurdle, he confirmed himself still in fine heart when third on the Flat last time.

Useful Flat performer confirmed every bit and more of the promise he showed in the Morebattle when first past the post in a competitive handicap at Aintree (subsequently disqualified - his rider going over the permitted level for strikes). A 6 lb rise may anchor him here, though.

Low-mileage 7-y-o who improved to make it 2-2 in handicaps at Musselburgh before acquitting himself well when third in a stronger race at Ayr last time. In even deeper waters here, though.

Proved a different model when landing back-to-back victories at Musselburgh for new yard and having shaped better than the result in competitive handicaps subsequently, he makes some each-way appeal in a race that should suit his style.

Got off the mark in a Chepstow novice last October and continued a fairly solid record in handicaps when 4½ lengths behind better-placed Dance Glance here last time. Now 6 lb better off with that rival and the addition of cheekpieces is expected to benefit.

Likeable front runner who backed up his Newcastle success with an excellent third behind Dance And Glance over C&D last time, but this is a deeper race and he remains on a career-high mark.

Built on a series of promising efforts for new yard when ending a long losing run at Sandown last time, the step up in trip to 2½m/run of the race both suiting. Up 5 lb but still well treated on the best of his form and could sneak into the frame if they go hard.

A three-time winner last year, he was far from ideally placed when sixth behind Dance and Glance in a C&D handicap last time, and receives a healthy pull at the weights with a couple of reopposing rivals.

Couldn't enhance a good strike rate over hurdles when down the field in the Silver Trophy at Chepstow on latest start in this sphere. Should be fit following a spin on the Flat last month, though, and worth a try in a tongue strap given his tendency to hang.

Defied an absence when a wide margin winner of an odd race at Aintree (only 5 of 9 hurdles jumped) but he's struggled off higher marks since, seemingly with no excuses at Sandown in early-March.
