Close second to Christmas Day in the Ballysax is the best piece of form on offer, and while he was a cut above his opposition when scoring under a no-nonsense ride from the front in a 1½m listed event at Leopardstown last time, the drop back in trip on firmish ground does raise a slight doubt.

Attractive Wootton Bassett colt who showed plenty of ability amid flaws in 7f Group races as a juvenile. Fourth behind Endorsement in the Ballysax (1¼m) on return, though a 6-month absence likely contributed to his finishing effort that day, and he could yet have more to offer over this trip.

Frankel colt who resumed progress in a race run to suit when successful in the Craven on return. Subsequently below that form when sixth in the 2000 Guineas/well held in the French Derby, though is at least worth another crack at 1¼m with sights lowered.

Striking Kempton debut success was backed up by the clock and again proved most impressive when following up at Newmarket on return. The track was surely a factor in his Lingfield Derby Trial fourth and he's well worth another chance over a more suitable C&D, with stable in better form now, too.

Much-improved effort to make it 2 wins from 3 starts on return in the Gerry Feilden (form has taken a few knocks) at Newmarket and despite only running to a similar level when fifth in the Dante at York last time, it's still early days for one from an excellent yard.

Fast-improving son of Kameko who went one better than on debut with a straightforward success at Yarmouth (1m). No match for subsequent French Derby winner Constitution River in the Dee Stakes last time, however, he's entitled to be firmly in the shake-up given the upward trajectory of his form.

Bred to be useful and is well on his way to that level, following up an impressive debut success at Doncaster in straightforward fashion at Wolverhampton (8.5f). Taking on much stiffer opposition for his hat-trick bid, but there's some merit to his form, and he's still unexposed stepping up in trip.

Improving Kingman colt (from a family connections know well) who chased home smart Maltese Cross in a Newbury novice before finishing runner-up in a Newmarket listed race last time. Excellent yard now adds first-time cheekpieces and he's likely to be in the mix with further progress anticipated.

Progressive juvenile who made a winning debut at Newmarket prior to finishing a useful third in the Group 3 Autumn Stakes (1m) there last October. That form still leaves him with plenty to find on first start as a 3-y-o, however, he's certainly worth a go over this longer trip.

Didn't need to improve on his second past the post in the Solario (placed third for interference) when landing a Group 3 at Chantilly (1m) on final 2-y-o start, however, he was beaten before his stamina could be tested (not sure to stay) in the Classic Trail at Sandown (1¼m) on return in late-April.
