on this surface for the first time, produced a career best and resumed winning ways in most impressive fashion after 6 months, justifying strong market support and making it 3 wins from 5 starts at distances shorter than 7f in the process, albeit in what proved an uncompetitive affair; close up, travelled well, went on 2f out, forged clear; he remains unexposed as a sprinter, though whether or not he's able to back this performance up under different conditions remains to be seen.

arrived in better heart than his recent form figures suggested and again shaped a bit better than the distance beaten suggests, having no chance with the winner but not unduly punished once he was beyond recall and readily on top of the rest; tracked pace, travelled fluently, ridden entering straight, kept on, no impression on winner; he's on an attractive mark at present.

A competitive heat on paper, but anything but in reality, the well-backed Calder Prince producing an imperious display and running out a wide-margin winner in a race in which none of his rivals appeared to give their true running.

CALDER PRINCE (IRE) on this surface for the first time, produced a career best and resumed winning ways in most impressive fashion after 6 months, justifying strong market support and making it 3 wins from 5 starts at distances shorter than 7f in the process, albeit in what proved an uncompetitive affair; close up, travelled well, went on 2f out, forged clear; he remains unexposed as a sprinter, though whether or not he's able to back this performance up under different conditions remains to be seen.

DOUGAN arrived in better heart than his recent form figures suggested and again shaped a bit better than the distance beaten suggests, having no chance with the winner but not unduly punished once he was beyond recall and readily on top of the rest; tracked pace, travelled fluently, ridden entering straight, kept on, no impression on winner; he's on an attractive mark at present.

HEE HAW (IRE) on this surface for the first time, wasn't disgraced after 6 months off; waited with, effort entering straight, one paced.

RASTACAP again ran below form; led until 2f out, one paced from early in straight.

FAST TRACK ran below form, though wasn't seen to best from his wide draw and is probably better judged on his previous efforts for the time being; caught wide in mid-field, ridden 2f out, never landed a blow.

LEXINGTON TIMES (IRE) ran one of lesser races; held up, brief headway entering straight, held when forced to switch over 1f out, effort flattened out.
