followed up from last time under a good ride after 7 weeks off, his early speed allowing him to control matters and little to spare at the line; made all, ridden over 1f out, dug deep under pressure; should remain competitive.

is still on a good mark and once more ran well in defeat, frustratingly not winning the amount of races he should be doing given his ability, this rider still to have won on him perhaps being a significant factor, again getting going too late back up in trip here; dwelt, held up, travelled smoothly, headway over 1f out, finished well, just failed; sure to go well again.

A useful handicap and the first 2 ran contrasting races, the winner breaking sharply, steadying it around halfway and then finding plenty for pressure in the finish, while the favourite in second flashed home from a long way back once more too late.
