showed improved form to make it 2 wins from 3 this winter, though was fortunate to prevail on this occasion, very much enjoying first run on the runner-up; close up, shaken up around 2f out, produced to lead 1f out, kept on, better placed than most; proving gradually progressive so should remain competitive.

on first outing since leaving M. Halford after 7 weeks off, went like the best horse at the weights, just left with too much to do in race where pair he split were both ridden prominently; steadied at the start, dropped out, travelled fluently, shaken up around 2f out, finished with a flourish, just failed; one for the shortlist for a similar event in the coming weeks.

back up in trip, again ran well, deserves credit for consistency; made running, quickened over 2f out, headed 1f out, kept on; had the run of the race, but is a straightforward sort who is eligible for lesser races than this, so likely to continue in form.

remains in good form, not seen to best effect; waited with, travelled well, headway 2f out, kept on straight, never landed a blow, left poorly placed; losing run is a slight concern but he's down to a handy mark, and probably capable of winning a similar event when things drop perfectly.

ha gone well fresh in the past but might have needed this run after 6 months off, shaping that way; mid-field, travelled well, shaken up over 2f out, not quicken; temperament issues mean he's not one to go overboard about, though.

away from Lingfield (good record there), wasn't in the same form as last time; mid-division, labouring halfway, plodded on; probably high enough in the weights now after productive spell before the turn of the year in any case.

offered little on first outing since leaving David O'Meara after 3 months off; raced wide, handy, effort home turn, faded; lengthy losing run speaks for itself too, so not one to be interested in.

All 9 ran.

Overrounds: Industry SP 113%, Betfair SP 100.6%

A decidedly useful handicap that went to one of the least exposed runners in the line up, but it's the second home who really caught the eye, and he looks a banker to win races for his new yard; the gallop was no better than fair, the first and third in the firing line thoughout.

NIMR showed improved form to make it 2 wins from 3 this winter, though was fortunate to prevail on this occasion, very much enjoying first run on the runner-up; close up, shaken up around 2f out, produced to lead 1f out, kept on, better placed than most; proving gradually progressive so should remain competitive.

JOEY'S DESTINY (IRE) remains in good form, not seen to best effect; waited with, travelled well, headway 2f out, kept on straight, never landed a blow, left poorly placed; losing run is a slight concern but he's down to a handy mark, and probably capable of winning a similar event when things drop perfectly.
