improvement shows no signs of abating, completing the hat-trick here, this opening up further options with regards trip, a stronger gallop likely to see him in an even better light; in touch, took strong hold, chased leader over 2f out, stayed on to lead final 1f, eased close home; has more to offer and is one to keep on side in his bid for the 4-timer.

had the step back up in trip to suit and produced arguably a career-best performance, beaten by an improver and one who got first run, though that is not to say he was unlucky, the winner having something to spare come the line; dwelt, in rear, headway over 1f out, stayed on; probably the type who needs things to fall right.

ran well, taking the rise in class in her stride, proving her effectiveness over this longer distance whilst not looking to be crying out for it, her progress not trip related; waited with, headway over 2f out, kept on; will remain of interest, this mark not beyond her, especially with lesser handicaps an option.

attracted support and ran up to his best after 8 weeks off, attempting to reprise the tactics that served him so well when winning twice here in December, his mark now the stumbling block, anchored by a 5 lb rise for his latest victory; tracked leader, led and kicked on over 2f out, headed final 1f, one paced.

couldn't confirm the form he showed when successful over C&D 10 days earlier, this race not panning out as favourably for him; held up, ridden when bumped over 2f out, carried head high, made no impression; not totally straightforward.

A fairly useful staying handicap and form that has substance, the winner on an upward curve, the well-backed John Reel getting on top inside the final 1f to score a shade cosily; the gallop was just fair, the pace increasing entering the final half mile.
