is displaying more stamina than might have been expected given Flat profile, digging deep under these fairly testing conditions to make just about all of the running, showing a good attitude and improved form as he gained a first win in this sphere; this was a weak race, however, and he'll find life tougher next time.

has little in hand from present mark, underlined by career record, but ran one of his better races here; waited with, good progress 4 out, close up next, forced to switch between last 2 after being slightly short of room, kept on; may edge back up in the weights for this and opposable next time.

did enough to suggest he remains in good form, not seen to best effect under his usual amateur; tracked pace, went with enthusiasm, lost place after 3 out even though seemingly still going well enough, plugged on, would have benefited from stronger handling.

had professional handling and went without the headgear this time but again ran below form and doesn't convince with his attitude (long since quirky); raced wide, held up, headway 4 out, close up next, driven soon after and was struggling at the next, no further impression; generally opposable.

was below form, extending long losing run, very hard to win with nowadays; prominent main group, took strong hold, left behind before 2 out, faded, looking half-hearted.

All 6 ran. Hurdles: 7.

Winning Owner: Mr Terry Neill

Time: 3m 56.86s

Overrounds: Industry SP 114%, Betfair SP 99.7%

A small-field handicap won by easily the least exposed runner in the field, with none of the others appealing as interesting/well treated; the pace, set by Red Seventy, was no more than fair.

RED SEVENTY is displaying more stamina than might have been expected given Flat profile, digging deep under these fairly testing conditions to make just about all of the running, showing a good attitude and improved form as he gained a first win in this sphere; this was a weak race, however, and he'll find life tougher next time.

HELIUM (FR) did enough to suggest he remains in good form, not seen to best effect under his usual amateur; tracked pace, went with enthusiasm, lost place after 3 out even though seemingly still going well enough, plugged on, would have benefited from stronger handling.

CHESIL BEACH BOY had professional handling and went without the headgear this time but again ran below form and doesn't convince with his attitude (long since quirky); raced wide, held up, headway 4 out, close up next, driven soon after and was struggling at the next, no further impression; generally opposable.
