bounced back to form to come out on top in a much less competitive race than he'd been in of late, seen to maximum effect; pressed leader, went with zest, went on seventh, shaken up after 2 out, driven out, well ridden in tactical race; circumstances are unlikely to be so favourable next time.

returned to form and should have finished closer, likely to have made a race of it with the winner if asked for effort sooner; held up, travelled well, still plenty to do 3 out, driven between last 2, edged left, kept on, conceded first run; connections will do well to find him another race as uncompetitive as this, however.

Such a disappointing turnout for a 0-140, reflective of low prize-money for the grade, and none of the quartet looked well handicapped coming into it; it was a tactical race and the winner was given a better ride than the second.

MINSTRELS GALLERY (IRE) bounced back to form to come out on top in a much less competitive race than he'd been in of late, seen to maximum effect; pressed leader, went with zest, went on seventh, shaken up after 2 out, driven out, well ridden in tactical race; circumstances are unlikely to be so favourable next time.

BOWDLER'S MAGIC had the run of the race but was readily brushed aside, underlining that he needs further respite from the handicapper; led, headed seventh, not fluent 2 out, one paced.

THE WALLACE LINE (IRE) was well held after 4 months off; in touch, not fluent fifth, outpaced 3 out, soon beaten.
