was highly progressive over hurdles last season, showing near-smart form, the highest rated of these, and with a run under his belt he made a successful and fairly impressive winning start over fences; left in front first, went with enthusiasm, jumped well in the main and made the rest, driven after 3 out, in command last and drew clear to be well on top at the finish; clearly he'll find himself in much more competitive affairs but he should progress and win more races in this sphere.

a useful novice over hurdles last season, should strip fitter for the run after 7 months off and will also improve a bit for this first experience chasing; tracked pace, second when mistake tenth, ridden between 4 out and 3 out, every chance still 2 out, no extra run-in.

All 5 ran. Fences: 16.

Time: 5m 21.6s Closing Sectional: (2.15f): 31.7s (107.6%)

Overrounds: Industry SP 107%, Betfair SP 101.4%

All these have shown useful form so it was a good-quality affair despite the small field, although Work In Progress' early unseat left just 4; the winner dictated matters.
