A useful contest, though very few got involved, the thriving Moon River always going best and enhancing her fine record here, this a fourth success already in 2016, beating the previous track record in doing so; the runner-up also ran well, the pair pulling nicely clear of the rest.

MOON RIVER (IRE) is going from strength to strength, coping well with the step up in grade, improving further to complete her hat-trick in a course-record time; tracked pace, travelled smoothly, went on over 2f out, asserted approaching final 1f, kept up to work; will continue to take all the beating on this surface.

CLAIM THE ROSES (USA) had been gelded since last seen (in cheekpieces) 5 months earlier and was carrying 1 lb overweight, though he didn't go unbacked and showed improved form, unlucky to bump into a thriving rival; mid-division, headway under pressure 2f out, kept on well final 1f, nearest at the finish; one to keep on the right side.

LEXINGTON TIMES (IRE) ran respectably making his fibresand debut; chased leaders, ridden 3f out, one paced.

HIGHLAND COLORI (IRE) produced a laboured effort after 4 months off; slowly into stride, raced off the pace, went in snatches, driven home turn, stayed on from 2f out.

PEARL NATION (USA) was easy to back after twice finishing down the field at Meydan earlier this year, but took a step back in the right direction, doing enough to suggest all the ability remains; raced off the pace, pushed along early in straight, stayed on final 1f, never on terms.

PHILBA found his run of good form coming to a halt; soon led, headed over 2f out, weakened final 1f.

BERTIEWHITTLE again ran below form on this surface; held up, never involved.

SHOWBOATING (IRE) back in headgear, ran one of his lesser races; raced off the pace, pushed along 3f out, hung right, made no impression.

SOUND ADVICE failed to come on for his recent return and looks too high in weights; chased leaders, driven entering straight, weakened 2f out.

TROJAN ROCKET (IRE) chased home the winner here a fortnight earlier, but ran no sort of race this time; always behind.
