making handicap bow 13 weeks on from Greenham, represents a yard that are back in form (reportedly had a virus earlier in season) and made a mockery of his opening mark, on a different level to these; mid-field, ridden over 2f out, took while to pick up but led over 1f out and stayed on strongly, well on top finish; he's a smart prospect and strikes as a group horse in the making.

Yarmouth form has been franked in no uncertain terms by the runner-up since but, off 5 lb higher mark, ran just respectably in first-time cheekpieces; chased leader, challenged from 2f out, plugged on, no match for winner.

was left poorly placed and almost certainly remains in good form; in rear, shaken up under 3f out, closed up late, unsuited by how race developed.

wasn't disgraced up against considerably younger opposition, and the promise of his return still stands when found a more suitable opening; led, ridden over 2f out, headed over 1f out, no extra.

back up in trip, is yet to prove he stays 1m but ran no sort of race anyway; handy, driven over 2f out, weakened, possibly amiss.

A useful handicap which ended up being all about improving 3-y-o Make Time, who took a while to assert but was well on top at the line, justifying strong market support.
