went one better than in the Royal Artillery here last month, showing plenty of guts after cutting out a strong gallop; soon led, jumped well, mistake fifteenth, ridden when headed 2 out, led again flat, found plenty; likely to continue in form.

an unexposed novice, was strong in betting after 9 weeks off and shaped better than the bare result only to weaken in the straight, lack of stamina maybe an issue, or else paying for making his headway mid-race; held up, travelled smoothly, in touch eleventh, shaken up before 2 out, found less than looked likely; worth another chance.

Solid enough form for this type of race, with the usual caveats about jockeyship made, horses with fairly useful handicap form coming to the fore; the winner set a fast pace, quickly stringing the field right out.

LOOSE CHIPS went one better than in the Royal Artillery here last month, showing plenty of guts after cutting out a strong gallop; soon led, jumped well, mistake fifteenth, ridden when headed 2 out, led again flat, found plenty; likely to continue in form.
