the gamble of the race, progressed again to follow up her Gowran win, showing a useful level of form, though having a hard race in the process; close up, led early in straight, headed 3f out, led again well inside final 1f, kept on well, hard driven; may take a while to get over her exertions, and drying ground wouldn't be sure to suit her so well as soft/heavy has so far.

ran well after 9 weeks off; in touch, challenged end of back straight, edged ahead 3f out, headed well inside final 1f, one paced near finish; will stay at least 2½m, and looks the best prospect for novice hurdles in the field.

ran creditably after 11 weeks off, though she doesn't look the easiest of rides, ridden a little more patiently this time and spoiling her chance by fighting her rider for so long; close up, refused to settle, ridden over 2f out, not quicken.

well backed, failed to confirm previous form in this better company; waited with, effort end of back straight, no extra over 1f out; she's unfurnished at present and her exertions on heavy going last time might have set her back.

on much softer ground than previously, was below form after 8 months off, unlikely to be competitive at this level anyway; held up, labouring after halfway, left behind 4f out, plugged on.

easy to back, wouldn't be sure to stay 2m but was beaten by more than lack of stamina after 7 weeks off, her form last time perhaps not so good as it looked; soon led, ridden entering straight, headed soon after, weakened.

disappointed in the light of what appeared a useful effort at Doncaster last time, just not in the same form; handy, ridden end of back straight, weakened over 3f out, eased off.

All 9 ran.

Winning Owner: Ms Eileen O'Brien/John A. Harrington

Time: 4m 5s

Overrounds: Industry SP 115%, Betfair SP 98.5%

A surprisingly small field for this valuable listed mares bumper, and the race lacked the depth associated with it, though it provided a good test of stamina and the first 2 at least are clearly useful, up to standard for the race; as a bunch, they were less than impressive.

GAILLIMH A CHROI (IRE) the gamble of the race, progressed again to follow up her Gowran win, showing a useful level of form, though having a hard race in the process; close up, led early in straight, headed 3f out, led again well inside final 1f, kept on well, hard driven; may take a while to get over her exertions, and drying ground wouldn't be sure to suit her so well as soft/heavy has so far.

TARA MIST ran well after 9 weeks off; in touch, challenged end of back straight, edged ahead 3f out, headed well inside final 1f, one paced near finish; will stay at least 2½m, and looks the best prospect for novice hurdles in the field.

BALLYHOLLOW ran creditably after 11 weeks off, though she doesn't look the easiest of rides, ridden a little more patiently this time and spoiling her chance by fighting her rider for so long; close up, refused to settle, ridden over 2f out, not quicken.

AVISPA well backed, failed to confirm previous form in this better company; waited with, effort end of back straight, no extra over 1f out; she's unfurnished at present and her exertions on heavy going last time might have set her back.
