A duel between the big 2 materialised from the second last, but Djingle always had the upper hand and his strength on the run-in after he'd set a sound pace merely tipped the scales even more in his favour, probably running to a similar level as no less than Ornua had last year.

DJINGLE (FR) is very much on the right path now as a chaser and improved again to land this Grade 3 event with a bit to spare; led, travelled well, tackled when jumped right 2 out, shaken up before last, kept going well, made all; a tall sort, he may be capable of better still.

DUE REWARD (IRE) might have been beaten but surpassed anything he did over hurdles ratings-wise, bumping into a very good one for the time of year; in touch, chased leader before home turn, threatened 2 out, was within a length and a half of the winner at the last but lacked that one's strength on the run-in; he seems sure to add to his Killarney success in this sphere if campaigned realistically.

CLIFF HOUSE (IRE) very much has his limitations at this level (only sixth in the race in 2018) and was put in his place after just 5 days off; held up, effort entering straight, left behind from 3 out (left remote third at the last).

COOL COLONNADE (IRE) very easy to back, was given a considerate return from 9 weeks off; dropped out, mistake second, not fluent sixth, left behind from home turn, not given at all a hard time.

REACH UP in first-time blinkers, faced a stiff task in this grade and paid the price for trying to live with the principals; chased leader until before home turn, weakening when hit 2 out, dropped away.

GREY WATERS (IRE) was in the process of showing improved form - and picking up further black type - when departing late on; mid-division, lost ground sixth, headway again 3 out, booked for third - about 7 or 8 lengths down and well clear of the rest - when unseated rider last.
