loves it here and proved about as good as ever for this sixth course win, having slipped back to the same mark that he won off over 5f here last summer; pressed leader, travelled well, led inside final 1f, driven out; he's likely to continue in form and will no doubt be back at Ripon for other good-quality sprints in the coming months.

was fitter for reappearance and, with cheekpieces refitted, bounced back to his best, enhancing a good course record; led, went with enthusiasm, tackled over 1f out, headed inside final 1f, kept on and gave his all.

has been persevered with by a top yard, interesting in itself, and shaped well after 23 months off, all of his ability intact on this evidence, and he's on a fair mark; raced stand side, mid-division, short of room soon after halfway, stayed on final 1f, finished with running left; he's one to bear in mind.

is interesting from this sort of mark and is threatening to come good soon for all that he's the sort that needs things to drop right; in rear, headway when not clear run over 2f out, stayed on well, never nearer having been left poorly placed.

A useful sprint handicap but it wasn't as competitive as it threatened to be, little getting involved, the first 2 always leading/close up whilst there was trouble in behind; Kenny The Captain went alone far side with the rest staying stand side.

PIPERS NOTE loves it here and proved about as good as ever for this sixth course win, having slipped back to the same mark that he won off over 5f here last summer; pressed leader, travelled well, led inside final 1f, driven out; he's likely to continue in form and will no doubt be back at Ripon for other good-quality sprints in the coming months.

ECCLESTON is interesting from this sort of mark and is threatening to come good soon for all that he's the sort that needs things to drop right; in rear, headway when not clear run over 2f out, stayed on well, never nearer having been left poorly placed.

ANOTHER WISE KID (IRE) ran respectably after 6 weeks off; in touch, edged right over 1f out, one paced, always around same position.

FLYING PURSUIT had conditions to suit but was below form after a better effort last time; chased leaders, driven over 2f out, not quicken.

JOHNNY CAVAGIN was unlucky not to finish closer and remains in good form; slowly into stride, keeping on when hampered over 1f out, never dangerous.

SCRUTINEER (IRE) is yet to fire this season; close up, weakened over 1f out; something to prove at present.

KENNY THE CAPTAIN (IRE) is best excused this run; raced alone far side, chased leaders, weakened over 1f out, not persevered with once held.

SHARED EQUITY failed to come on for recent run; raced wide, chased leaders, driven halfway, weakened.

ZYLAN (IRE) ran poorly, possibly unsuited by conditions (unproven on softer than good); chased leaders, weakened 2f out.
