had caught the eye last time and confirmed that promise, proving at least as good as ever to get off the mark for the season, suited by the way the race developed but not flattered in any way; raced off the pace, headway halfway, found plenty to lead late on, driven out from an even faster finisher; has been vulnerable from higher marks in the past.

was fitter for comeback and back to her best, doing well under the circumstances; chased leaders, led under pressure approaching final 1f, headed late on, raced closer to pace than ideal; still relatively low mileage for a sprinter and shaped well from higher marks a couple of times last season, so she's one to keep an eye on.

won this race 12 months ago when having the benefit of a recent run and, having left Lawrence Mullaney since last seen 7 months ago, ran creditably despite leaving the impression he might be sharper for it; mid-division, headway under pressure over 1f out, one paced; it's possible his new stable get more out of him, acknowledging that he's a 7-y-o.

has slipped in the weights, ran better than for a while and looks to be coming to the boil; forced pace, headed approaching final 1f, one paced, did too much too soon; potentially very well handicapped on useful best but it is something of a niggle that he hasn't managed to win since arriving in Britain (more than 2 years since got head in front).

A strongly-run sprint handicap that favoured those coming from off the pace, Avon Breeze doing really well to split a pair that stormed through late; it was a fairly competitive race and may throw up the odd winner over the coming weeks.

ANOTHER WISE KID (IRE) had caught the eye last time and confirmed that promise, proving at least as good as ever to get off the mark for the season, suited by the way the race developed but not flattered in any way; raced off the pace, headway halfway, found plenty to lead late on, driven out from an even faster finisher; has been vulnerable from higher marks in the past.
