The form of some of the main 2-y-o fillies races was represented and the third and first from the Oh So Sharp Stakes filled the places, but the spoils went to a once-raced filly, the bare form just up to standard for the race, though she has the potential to leave it well behind, the fourth and fifth probably more interesting than the rest bar the winner so far as good races are concerned.

DABAN (IRE) was much improved from debut, running here rather than in a handicap off a clearly embarrassingly lenient mark, likely to learn plenty from this and well worth her place in the Guineas field (will stay 1m), overcoming more experienced rivals with a good response to pressure in the final 1f; soon steadied, not settle fully, effort 2f out; looks the part and a smart prospect, definitely of interest up in grade.

UNFORGETABLE FILLY ran well after 6 months off, reversing placings with the third from the Oh So Sharp Stakes here in the autumn, no excuses needed, ready for a step up to 1m but hard pressed to turn the tables on the winner were they to meet again in the Guineas; chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, led briefly well inside final 1f, not quicken close home.

POET'S VANITY ran up to the level she showed in the Oh So Sharp Stakes here in the autumn, after 6 months off, in good shape beforehand and probably seen at her best, likely to stay 1m but not necessarily improve for it; led, ridden 2f out, headed well inside final 1f, not quicken.

PAMPLEMOUSSE (IRE) barely 2 weeks on from her impressive debut, looked a useful prospect again, even though she lacked the experience needed, upped in grade, ridden in contrasting fashion to that first run; held up, travelled well, still plenty to do 2f out, shaken up after, ran green, kept on final 1f; sure to progress.

SEA OF GRACE (IRE) was below form on first outing since leaving John Oxx after 8 months off, but shaped better than the bare result, doing too much too soon and having nothing left after getting into contention in some style; held up, not settle fully, smooth headway 2f out, faded final 1f; she is open to improvement still and could well reverse placings with most of those that beat her were they to meet again in the 1000 Guineas.

KILMAH wasn't disgraced after 7 months off, more exposed than most in the field, likely to need to be well placed to add a further pattern success to her record; chased leaders, ridden 3f out, no extra over 1f out.

ROLY POLY (USA) was the stronger in the market of the Aidan O'Brien-trained pair, the first and second from the Cheveley Park, and she showed more than her stable companion, though it was a pretty lacklustre effort and she was well below her best after 6 months off; chased leaders, labouring halfway, plugged on final 1f; something to prove.

KAZIMIERA down in trip, after 6 months off, had plenty on in this company and was a bit below her best, though not seen to best advantage and likely to need a return to 1m+; dropped out, still plenty to do 2f out, late headway.

TALLULAH ROSE on first outing since leaving George Baker after 8 months off, was flying too high in this grade, though she left the impression she'll be effective at 7f, raced at sprint distances at 2 yrs; in touch, took keen hold, not quicken over 2f out, kept on final 1f.

BRAVE ANNA (USA) had sprung a surprise in the Cheveley Park when last seen, but ran poorly, even on balance of form, after 7 months off; held up, ridden 3f out, made no impression.

CHOUMICHA after 6 months off, had shown fairly useful form in defeat in listed company on her final start at 2 yrs, but she was out of depth at this level; chased leaders until 2f out.
