showed last year that she can play in the Group 2 league - at the least - amongst her sex, and this was simply her grabbing the opportunity she was given to register an overdue first success in Britain, much too good for these, the margin not reflecting her true superiority, tanking along (almost too keen) behind the leaders but hemmed in for a while once the pace increased, needing to push her way out, soon motoring ahead inside the final 1f, not looking to have a hard race at all.
tracked pace, not clear run over 1f out, forced to switch, quickened, led final 1f, plenty in hand

only a 3-y-o, on a roll, and this was much more of a graduation than at Newbury, no fluke about it, shuffled back on the home turn and checked in her run over 1f out, but for which she'd have finished a clearer second, not that she'd have measured up to the class-apart winner in any way; this makes her a very valuable broodmare, still developing but unlikely to land on such a thin Group 3 again, even for fillies.
mid-field, shuffled back home turn, headway when hampered over 1f out, kept on well, second late on

has been thrown in the deep end this year, encouragingly staying afloat, making a good fist of this, winding up down the outside and disputing second over 1f out; she's only just getting going in career terms, plenty of time and scope yet for her to do more.

out again only 3 weeks after her trip to Belmont, underlining her toughness, outclassed at this level but getting far via a pro-active ride, racing prominently before pressing on over 2f out, not overpowered until inside the last 1f.

held her own, her SP painting a slightly misleading picture, as this was a big ask so soon, racing alongside Smart Call in the second wave and keeping her in for a while up the straight, little left for the final 1f, a big improvement all the same in form terms.

had beaten the third at Newbury, and their revesed role here says more about that one's profile, though Mia Tesoro wasn't quite in the same form, either, ridden rather more patiently (in mid-field) this time and unable to muster a challenge.

wasn't recognisable from the purposeful filly at Goodwood, the surface perhaps an issue, but it's still early in her career, maybe finding this a bit much at this stage, for all that the falsely-run race didn't favour those held up like her.

Even on adjusted ratings Smart Call was the best part of a stone ahead of most, and that's exactly how it played out, the steady pace and limited space the reason she didn't win by further, but it was very comfortable as it was, the rest looking listed class at most.

SMART CALL (SAF) showed last year that she can play in the Group 2 league - at the least - amongst her sex, and this was simply her grabbing the opportunity she was given to register an overdue first success in Britain, much too good for these, the margin not reflecting her true superiority, tanking along (almost too keen) behind the leaders but hemmed in for a while once the pace increased, needing to push her way out, soon motoring ahead inside the final 1f, not looking to have a hard race at all.

MAID TO REMEMBER has been thrown in the deep end this year, encouragingly staying afloat, making a good fist of this, winding up down the outside and disputing second over 1f out; she's only just getting going in career terms, plenty of time and scope yet for her to do more.

SNOWY WINTER (USA) out again only 3 weeks after her trip to Belmont, underlining her toughness, outclassed at this level but getting far via a pro-active ride, racing prominently before pressing on over 2f out, not overpowered until inside the last 1f.

FOUR WHITE SOCKS held her own, her SP painting a slightly misleading picture, as this was a big ask so soon, racing alongside Smart Call in the second wave and keeping her in for a while up the straight, little left for the final 1f, a big improvement all the same in form terms.
