presumably hasn't been the easiest to train but, with his top yard continuing to perservere with him, showed improved form to make a winning return after 10 months off (gelded in interim); mid-field, travelled smoothly, effort 2f out, found plenty to lead entering final 1f, ridden out; the way he saw out this extra 1f suggests he is likely to stay 1m/that there's still more progress in him and, provided he can get a clear run at things now, he can make an impact in some of the top handicaps this season.

produced a career best and can count himself unlucky to bump into one who improved even more; mid-field, smooth headway over 2f out, every chance 1f out, kept on; a repeat of this effort next time, even with a rise in the weights taken into account, will see him go very close again.
