was strong in the betting after 6 months off and proved a different proposition to previous chase starts, taking advantage of a much-reduced mark and doing so in style, certainly value for extra; held up, jumped well in main, travelled strongly, took closer order before eighth, close up 3 out, jumped on last, had plenty in hand; he's likely to progress further now that he's got his act together over fences and is capable of following up.

ran well on first outing since leaving Venetia Williams after 4 months off, very much a step back in the right direction, unlucky to bump into one that also revived and was so far ahead of its mark; chased leaders, went with enthusiasm, led after 4 out, headed last, one paced, no match for winner; he's no banker to hold it together but will remain well treated on old form.

wasn't in the same form as when winning here last time, only running from 2 lb higher, but this was a much hotter race as it turned out; close up, led fifth, headed tenth, held before 3 out.

Only Karisma King arrived in form but the pair that came to the fore had both dropped a long way in the weights and bounced back returning from breaks; it was a soundly-run affair, no doubting the bare result, and is form to view fairly positively at this stage.
