resumed progress to open his account in pattern company, although was a shade fortunate on the day, seen to maximum effect under an enterprising ride; made running, kicked on entering straight, always holding on, hands-and-heels ride; the Great Voltigeur at York is reportedly next on his agenda.

penalized for his International Stakes win and trying this trip for the first time, remains in good form and left the impression that he should have won, the winner having flown by the time he got into top gear; mid-field, took strong hold, shaken up 2f out, kept on well, carried head bit awkwardly, nearest at the finish, conceded first run; a trip to Australia is reportedly on his agenda.

successful in this race last year, hasn't really hit the same heights this time around, albeit not ideally placed the way things panned out here; dropped out, ridden early in straight, kept on, never landed a blow.

back up in trip, in a change of headgear, shaped similarly to last time, comfortable until the taps were turned on; mid-division, headway approaching home turn, second early in straight, effort flattened out; plenty to prove at present.

followed a good run with a below-par one, the way he backed out of things suggesting all was not 100% with him on the day; chased leader, driven over 3f out, folded tamely, possibly amiss.
