showed improved form as he went one better than last time, finding more for pressure on this occasion; raced off the pace, travelled well, good headway over 2f out, led 1f out, kept going well; he's going the right way and seems likely to progress further, one to be interested in again.

away from testing ground, wasted no time getting back on track; in touch, travelled well, close up from 3f out, every chance soon after, one paced; he's not progressing but is on a fair mark and should at least remain competitive.

ran creditably, not building on his Nottingham win as seemed likely, but leaving the impression that he's ready for 1½m now; raced off the pace, headway under pressure 2f out, hung right, stayed on; he remains with potential as his stamina is drawn out.

improved making handicap debut, actually shaping a bit better than his finishing position would suggest, perhaps just paying late on for racing up with a good gallop; chased leader, led 3f out, headed 1f out, no extra; he's likely to progress further.

failed to improve making handicap debut, but doesn't yet look the finished article and was spared a hard time; dwelt, mid-field, close up 2f out, faded final 1f, not persevered with once held; he should still improve and isn't one to write off.
