normally keeps listed/pattern company, even at his age, and dipping down to a handicap seemed liberating for him, though it took all his class to win from his mark, determined with it to withstand the intimidation of the hanging runner-up, forcing his way ahead in the last 50 yds.

encouraging for his prospects in the good-class winter programme on AW that he's doing so much on turf of late, though this second could have been turned into a first had he kept straight, looking in control over 1f out but hanging right under pressure, continually so, pushing others that way, badly hampering one and headed late on by another.

no win but has more than paid his way again this year, virtually as good as ever at times, another placing here despite racing wide to begin with and ending up further across - all the way to the far rail - as the hanging second took the challengers that way.

preceding Wolverhampton win when resuming his progress remains the race on which to assess him, leaving him well treated off lower turf mark, neither the different surface or trip bothering him much, produced with a challenge over 1f out, to the runner-up's right, meaning he took the brunt of that one hanging, forced to snatch up in the last ½f.

only a couple of hotspots this winless year, out again quickly after York, in cheekpieces and a more manageable race than he often faces but not on his game fully, carried right briefly but semi-hesitant himself at the same time.
mid-division, under pressure 2f out, chased leaders, carried right briefly, no extra

A competitive race on paper, but sprinting form at this stage of the season tends to be different to the summer, added to which this got messy, the race taking shape towards the stand rail, only for Lightscameraction to hang right once getting to the front, pushing others that way, Dougan squeezed out, but some just running flat.

MIRZA normally keeps listed/pattern company, even at his age, and dipping down to a handicap seemed liberating for him, though it took all his class to win from his mark, determined with it to withstand the intimidation of the hanging runner-up, forcing his way ahead in the last 50 yds.

HUMIDOR (IRE) no win but has more than paid his way again this year, virtually as good as ever at times, another placing here despite racing wide to begin with and ending up further across - all the way to the far rail - as the hanging second took the challengers that way.

POYLE VINNIE only a couple of hotspots this winless year, out again quickly after York, in cheekpieces and a more manageable race than he often faces but not on his game fully, carried right briefly but semi-hesitant himself at the same time.

HAY CHEWED (IRE) last again, past her best for the year by the look of things, showing her speed up to a point - made a beeline to the stand rail - but done with over 1f out.
