bounced back to form as he resumed winning ways, though was seen to better effect than most in a muddling affair; mid-field, travelled smoothly, led under pressure over 1f out, driven clear; not been the most consistent to date, so percentage call is to oppose next time.

ran creditably making handicap debut, but went a long way to prove that as expected he's no more than averagely treated; mid-field, not settle fully, shaken up 2f out, headway inside final 1f, not sustain effort.

wasn't seen to best effect, undone by a steady early tempo back down in trip and he's much better judged on previous form; waited with, raced freely, shaken up under 2f out, not quicken, made no impression, would have benefited from a stronger gallop.

A useful handicap but a rather unsatisfactory result, with plenty undone by what was a slow early tempo, a cautious view of form best taken as a consequence.

NOBLE PEACE bounced back to form as he resumed winning ways, though was seen to better effect than most in a muddling affair; mid-field, travelled smoothly, led under pressure over 1f out, driven clear; not been the most consistent to date, so percentage call is to oppose next time.

IN THE RED (IRE) not seen since winning his last 2 starts as a 2-y-o, had been gelded in the meantime and shaped as if retaining all ability after 11 months off; handy, shaken up over 2f out, challenged over 1f out, kept on.

BERTIEWHITTLE again ran creditably, doing well on the face of it in a messy affair, but rather typically getting going too late in the day; in rear, ridden over 2f out, kept on well close home, nearest at the finish.

MAJESTIC MOON (IRE) fared better than of late in this slightly less demanding grade, but did benefit from the run of the race; led until over 1f out, one paced.

MENAI (IRE) ran creditably making handicap debut, but went a long way to prove that as expected he's no more than averagely treated; mid-field, not settle fully, shaken up 2f out, headway inside final 1f, not sustain effort.

QEYAADAH (IRE) wasn't disgraced despite being unable to build on his promising reappearance after 3 months off, again compromising his chances by failing to settle; handy, raced freely, ridden 2f out, faded final 1f.

ARCHIE (IRE) wasn't seen to best effect, undone by a steady early tempo back down in trip and he's much better judged on previous form; waited with, raced freely, shaken up under 2f out, not quicken, made no impression, would have benefited from a stronger gallop.

MUSDAM (USA) is better judged on previous form; held up, not settle fully, ridden 2f out, made no impression, unsuited by the way the race developed.
